READY!

I love having a break! The funny thing is, the things I want a break from the most are the things I miss the most. ~ We ended up taking most of December off from schooling. It was a much needed "down time" for all of us. Our family has decided to take every December off from our regular routine. We will do a fun filled unit study next year and close the curriculum. We did a 1 week unit study for Thanksgiving and really enjoyed learning in a different mode.

As we all know what goes up must come down. Well thankfully we are "down" with Christmas. Don't get me wrong I love that the world stops for a small minute to honor my Jesus but I'm ready for a new chapter.

Next Monday will be our first day back to school and I am ready to dive in! Reese is going to be a little more involved with our school day. He has enjoyed choosing when he did his schooling and I think its time for him to learn a little more structure. But then again who knows I always have these great thoughts in my head. They just never seem to work out the way I intended for them to. I guess that is life. Some of the best moments in our homeschool is when things didn't go as I planned.

The rest of the week will hopefully be filled with great time spent with my great family!
