Fairy Tale?

Once upon a time, long, long ago lived a little girl. Her step-mommy closed her eyes and the next thing she knew she was 16! What!?! How did that happen?

I remember Taylor's 8th b-day. I bought her a care bears snow globe. (BTW that snow globe was the first of about 100 snow globes, no joke) over the past 8 years "we" have grown up a lot together.

Taylor's mom and I planned a surprise birthday party for her that was a great success. She was totally surprised! I wish I could have captured her face to show everyone. It was priceless. She was so stunned. I thought she was going to come unglued on me for a moment. lol She was so embarrassed. Her cheeks were bright red. There were about 50 friends and family all piled in her mom's garage when she opened the door. My husband was a genius on how we got her there that night. We had borrowed something that was to large to put in their SUV so he suggested that we would bring it by her moms on our way to Daytona for dinner. She thought nothing of it. (That is why we went straight to her garage just in case you were wondering.)

I wanted to fill you in on her mom and I. Almost 5 yrs ago Jennifer and I got into a fist fight in her front yard. Yes, I was 8 months pregnant with Reese. It was awful to say the least. The cops came and the whole shebang. Now knowing that information you can't tell me that God isn't a God of miracles still today.

The day of Taylor's party Jennifer and I worked together in her kitchen preparing lots of food. (another miracle, two women in one kitchen is a miracle let alone the now wife and the ex lol) There was lots of time to chat seeing as how we were together in her, very tiny, kitchen for about 3 1/2 hours. We talked about everything and anything.

The night ended with Eric and I bringing home 5 kiddos. Taylor brought home one of her friends and Jennifer and Mike's little boy came home with us as well. (could this story seem any more like a Jerry Springer show - teehee) Everyone had a great time that night. Now Reese is asking when he can go to Elijah's house for a sleep over. Isn't God Great?!

So the morale to this story is, don't stop at the stream for a drink, let God lead you to the spring fed lake that is waiting over the mountain for you!
