My life is full of blended, blissful, chaos. I am married to my knight in shining armor. I am blessed to be the mommy of two hansome baby boys. I have one beautiful baby girl who is my bonus child. My life is the "new" all american family life.

We have, we are, we will
We have, we are, and we will enjoy this summer! Will they remember it? That I don't know but I do know I am thankful for this world of blogging so I can journal our adventures in hopes that if we do forget, we can pop on here and reflect.
We started our summer break having our annual end of the year party with our awesome neighbors. This year we decided to let the kids make their own pizza's from scratch and us big kids, a.k.a. parents, had a greek salad. After our little chefs made their master pieces we piled into our neighbors living room to play their XBox. Seriously, that was way too much fun! You are the controller ~ how crazy is that? Any way, us mom's dominated the dance floor. We were unstoppable!
My step-sisters were in town for the weekend so we hooked up with them and played at the beach. Chase got the chance to surf with Aunt April and Reese and Ava enjoyed the boogie board. Reese relished the fact that he had the chance to teach Ava how to catch a wave. You know as the baby of this family he is always being taught something, so it was nice for him to have the opportunity to shine.
Monday, was a much anticipated day for about two months. The boys and I had a big date planned with our favorite homeschooling family - The Engels. I carried my teacher hat with me, that way my partner in crime and I could uncover the mystery of the new spelling program we are going to be using this coming school year. Who would of thought something like reading the directions to one another could involve so many laughs? I might add the boys had a great time too but Monday was selfishly more for me to have time with Mrs. Weeza (as Reese says).
Now we have merged into Tuesday. The boys and I decided we needed a day to chill out. We enjoyed a lazy morning around the house and then headed out for our favorite free spot, the library. A couple hours later we pulled ourselves out the door and headed back to flop on the couch.
Bright and early Wednesday morning we boogied out the door to the beach. There is a group of fellow homeschoolers who meet each week and so we are going to see if we can develop some new friendships and join them in the fun. Chase gets the chance to surf with other boys while Reese and I chill by the sea shore. BUT this week we ran into quite a few other people we know. Elijah, Taylor's other brother, came running by so we popped in with them for a bit but not long after that I spotted a little girl Chase went to school with this past year. We meandered over to where she was with her mommy and BANG, a new friendship was made. Her mom and I never had a moment of silence. It was smooth sailing in our conversation from word go. I look forward to where this friendship goes over the coming months.
On Thursday morning I received an invite to go hang at the museum of arts and science - Of course I jumped all over that chance. Around lunch time we hooked up with Katie and Ty and the fun began. We were even able to catch the planetarium show! That is something I just never get tiered of seeing. Right after that we cruised over to my mom's to stay the night. The boys and I had a blast. I got to eat my momma's home cooked yumminess, then the boys and I played hide and go seek in the rain. If you haven't done this lately, you should. I laughed so hard, Reese was filled with giggles, and Chase had a smile a mile wide. Then we dived into the pool and just played and played. The goal was to let Reese have the chance to swim at night - goal met.
Friday has arrived. We packed up and headed home to spend some time with Daddy before Chase had to go to his dad's for the weekend.
Well, there you have it or perhaps I should say there I have it, so I don't forget. *wink, wink* because to be honest, it was hard to remember what we did and when we did it and it has only been a week. I do have tons of pictures but I can't get them onto the computer at this point, which is such a bummer because pictures just bring everything to life. As you can see we HAVE, we ARE, and we WILL be having some serious, good times this summer!
