My life is full of blended, blissful, chaos. I am married to my knight in shining armor. I am blessed to be the mommy of two hansome baby boys. I have one beautiful baby girl who is my bonus child. My life is the "new" all american family life.

Strangers
I am amazed at how we have the power to impact people. Strangers have a way of setting the tone for the day in front of us. Sometimes even the life in front of us. The thought of pay it forward should be a part of who I am every day. Not just when things are going smoothly and I have the extra energy to extend a helpful hand or even a small smile.
A couple weekends ago we took a little day trip up to St. Augustine. While we were walking the streets the sky began to fall. It was a rain that I love to be hunkered down on the couch for, just to watch God and all his glory. Lighting is so beautiful ~ however not when you are without shelter. We ducked into a little pizza place and Reese met his best friend. I had no idea that this event was making such an impact on my baby. You see all the seats were taken so we were just hovering near the front door hoping that no one would ask us to leave. There was a couple with their two boys sitting at the booth near us. You would think that one of the boys became his best friend but not the case. The dad scooted over and made room for the boys. Reese scooted in first and that was the start of an impression that was made all by extending a little kindness. The rain began to let up or I should say the lighting began to and so we said our good byes and thank yous and were on our way. Later that day we ran into that family again and gave a quick wave and everyone carried on with the journey.
Reese never mentioned that man again until just the other day. All to inform me that he was his best friend. I got to thinking about his statement and how we have the ability to change the people we meet. I can give the stranger a cold shoulder or I can scoot over and put just the smallest amount of effort out there and have the potential to bring joy to Joe, Sue, Tom, well you get it, to who ever I come in contact with.
God gives each of us a chance to shine His light but are we am I going to see those chances or am I going to get so caught up in my own agenda that I will not see the opportunity He has given me?

He and Kyle have the same hearts. Love this...love you. I had a moment like this this week as well. Just put an arm around someone...makes a world of difference.
