Tonight Chase and I were chatting about how he gets to view how different people live their life. Over here we run our ship much different than how his dad allows things to operate at his house. And then we have one neighbor where the husband stays home and the wife works. I was telling him he needs to take the good from each of these houses and one day he can put them into practice in his own life. And says to me, "That way I can put all the pieces of my puzzle together, you know I should be a preacher one day"
This just made my heart smile so big. For one, because it was very well put. Life is truly a jig saw puzzle. One minute something looks like for sure it will fit perfectly only to find out that it was intended for a different spot. ~ And then because this isn't the first time he has mentioned about being a preacher some day. He understands that he may be called to a "job" that doesn't fit inside a box.
Boy howdy, I love my young, wise, gentleman! God is doing big things in his life. His puzzle is going to be a masterpiece!

Great post & I love that boy..big time! The thought occurred to me that when we put together a puzzle, you know with 500 pieces or more (because life's puzzle is huge)..we are all drawn in (even as a family) until its completed. It never gets boring..challenging yes, seemingly impossible--yes, but never boring and you never want to give up! Oh and then when the last piece is placed..the reward is incomparable! Over here at the Engel house...we are just as excited and drawn in to your little preacher man's puzzle and we will all be celebrating when it is complete and we get to see what the next one will be!
this picture, this post made me smile
