I actually captured this moment between Reese and Popeye a few months back. It was so pure. Just a little boy and his dog. I have pulled this file out of my memory bank many times. Just reflecting on how simple a child is able to make it. His dog stretched out next to him while he was playing and he ceased the opportunity to "simply" love (period).
I look back over my time as a mommy, wife, sister, daughter, friend, etc. and wonder how many times I have missed my opportunity to simply love the ones I cherish. I also look back over the years and reflect on the times love was captured in its purest form.
I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate (us) me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
I want to simply love!
