Discovery Launch

We had the best spot ever for watching the launch! The kids and I tried to go to a camp ground that we have stayed at a couple of times but they were all full. So as we were pulling back out onto US1 we spotted a little mobile home park right next door. My little side kicks and I decided to give it a try and see if we could blend in with the locals (even though I had a good idea it was a 55 and over park). Well we found a little spot under a huge tree and just chilled out for about 2 hrs or so. We played cards, read books, Tay worked on homework, and we kicked the soccer ball around. When the shuttle started up we got to see the glow before we even seen the shuttle. We hung around for about 30 min. or so and talked to some of the residence. Then we SAT for about 3 hrs in the car. But wouldn't ya know that was perhaps my favorite part of the whole trip. The conversations and laughter that took place with me and my babies was great!

What a great view! Both of the launch and of your little sidekicks!

We watched pretty close by at a mobile home park too...in Oak Hill. It was fun! I love seeing your pictures, it makes my heart smile!

We were about 2 miles away. It was soooo cool. Unlike anything I have ever seen.
