Pretty Deep Roots

I was born and raised right here in little ol' New Smyrna Beach. OK I was born at Halifax but I was raised right next to the NSB airport. But not only was I born here so was my mom. Yep, right here in New Smyrna, when the hospital was a two story house. Pretty cool right?! But it gets even better my grandfather, no not here, but was born in Florida as well. My family actually owned a portion of the Ocala National Forrest. But my wonderful family wasn't very wise with the money.

You are probably thinking, why did she just tell me that. Well because I love Florida. I didn't know just how much until this winter. I DO NOT like to be cold for that long. No thank you!! Perhaps I love Florida because my roots go pretty deep.

My family and I are all ready for the summer. The boys and I have already been enjoying the beach for the past month or so. The boys have even been swimming for that long. The water was toooooo cold for me.

One of the many things I love about homeschooling is we get to make our schedule. Can I get an amen from my other homeschoolers. (teehee) We are going to school until the month of August this year. Then we will start back September 6 for the next school year. But because we are schooling during the summer we have officially gone to our summer schedule. Most weeks we will school Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. But that is always open for a "change in direction" as I like to say. I hope everyone has a truly wonderful time this summer.
