Well, my little break from the world wide web was a short one but it was needed. I guess the thing I am learning is I control these things in my life - they DO NOT control me. Good, simple, truth!
We went to a corn maze and had a blast! I was showing off my skills with roping. It has been 15+ years but it only took one practice throw and I had it. So, then Eric and Chase had to try and guess what (ssshhhh don't tell) but they never got it. Finally I found something I knew how to do and they didn't but I had to pull them away before they had too much time to figure it out.
Being the mom of these two is the greatest gift I have ever been given.
We were on a mission.
Reese was king of the hay mound! Really it took him a ton of tries before he finally concord it. You can see the other boy struggling.
Eric and Chase were playing corn hole. I love how much they love each other. Their relationship is very real - frustration, laughs, anger, love, yeah - LOVE sums it up.
This boy can do anything. We went to Stetson because the had a "petting" instruments day and everything he picked up he made beautiful sounds come from it. Reese did really well too. I would love to see them play an instrument but I guess I will just wait until they really want to.
We went to visit Taylor in Jacksonville. She is loving the college life. At first she was crying all the time wanting to come home then God aloud for some adjustments and she is loving it. We went to the MOSH (museum of science and history) and then grilled some yummy steaks out right next to the river. We didn't want to take her out to dinner so we brought some comfort food from home. That was my brilliant husband's idea and we all loved it.
Reese and his buddy Ethan built a wooden fire truck at Home Depot. Michelle and I have been taking them out to breakfast and then to build the first Sat. of each month.
Eric, Reese, and I played in the rain!
Reese is LOVING cub scouts! It is so nice seeing him enjoy something.
Eric taught fishing for the month of October to the cubs and he did wonderful. Can I tell you this just melted me. There is nothing sexier than my man being a hands on dad.
This little guy is Cubbie. He has been a part of our family for 5 yrs now. Reese has gone on many grand adventures with him. We are actually writing a book about all of them.
The boys rode the waves while they watched the air show. Mom, Robert, and I sat back and enjoyed the total package.
We stayed the weekend over in Orlando and walked to Fun Spot.
This is just a normal daily view.
We love to experience the beach in all different types of weather. We went over to check it out for, I believe, Irene, with Michelle and Ethan.
We are studying botany this year and so we made edible potted plants. They were delicious.
This witch cracked us up. There was a lady hiding that was controlling her. She heard me say Chase name and at first it freaked us out.
Eric went to the Fort Lauderdale boat show. Every time he goes out of town he eats high on the hog so years ago Chase and I started a tradition where we go to Out Back and eat steak but this year he talked me into getting him steak and lobster. He really enjoyed it as you can tell.
Chase got his first deer and it was a buck. It was just a little 3 point buck but nevertheless it was a buck.
Here is Chase being the amazing big brother he is at the county fair.
We were studying about different beaches so we decided to go have a picnic lunch with my mom in Flagler to kill two birds with one stone. One to see how their beach looks a little different and the other was just to spend time with the most precious person I know - my momma.
He is such a clown.
Me and my ninja.
Chase and I being silly. Can I just say I really struggled with his choice of costume this year but I chalked this one up to "it's better to loose the battle and to win the war"
Here is the end of Halloween night. You have my one who has to separate it all into different groups and then there is . . . .
my just dive in and enjoy boy!
I love this time of the year. Really, who doesn't?
